Hard work but a lack of goals makes only two wins in five games.

The U12 boys were in action on Sunday 1st March in a round of the YYHL. The team included Dan Garlick, James Bojar, Henry Hildreth, Jack Norton, Arthur Webster-Jones, Connor Wilson and Sam Kelly.
In our first game we played against Ben Rhydding, Dan made some great saves and the defence of James and Henry helping to keep a clean sheet, while Connor and Jack made some good attacking moves, but not managing to score a goal the game ended 1-0 to Ben Rhydding.
In our next game we were against Leeds Adel. We started well with Connor making plenty of good crosses to Sam and Jack to attack, but it fell to Connor to break the deadlock making it 1-0 but unfortunately Leeds managed to equalize making it 1-1.
In our third game we were against Driffield where we started slowly. Driffield were attacking our goal but due to Henry and James denying their shots on goal, then releasing the ball to Connor and Jack who then made some strong attacking plays, eventually Sam managed to beat the keeper making it 1-0 and straight after Arthur managed to beat the keeper again from the top of the 'D' making it 2-0 and that was how the game ended.
In our forth game we were against Bradford probably the hardest match we had to play, proving by making it 1-0 but we managed to equalize when Sam pulled the ball back to Jack who coolly slotted it home, unfortunately Bradford went straight on the attack again making it 2-1 by the end.
In our last game we were against Chapeltown. We started strong going straight on the attack Connor and Jack making brilliant runs down the wings and then crossing it in and eventually Sam managed to make use of one making it 1-0 and that was how the game ended.
I would like to thank the parents for driving and supporting the team and I would also like to thank Andrew for umpiring.
