Hard fought game ends on loss
Ladies 2nds v Acomb (A)
12th November at Energise Sports Centre
This game was always going to be tough against the undefeated league leaders.
Thirsk were under pressure right from the start and conceded after 2 minutes. The ladies did not let their heads drop and kept working for each other and more than matching a physical Acomb side.
Unfortunately Acomb were very clinical in their finishing and the final score was 6-0.
Marieanne had a fantastic game in goal saving a certain goal on numerous occasions, Thirsk did threaten on the counter attack, led by Millie but unfortunately we could not match the finishing of Acomb, A harsh lesson was learnt by all. But the girls could hold their heads high because they battled away till the final whistle.
