If you are looking to volunteer as a hockey coach this season as part of your Duke Of Edinburgh Award or for experience, please can you contact me or Bev Longthorne at your earliest convenience. Due to the changes to training sessions we require fewer young leaders on Friday but have other slots available on Monday and Wednesday. In order to co-ordinate these it would be helpful to know who is wishing to volunteer.

This year the role will be extended to include planning a weekly drill and/or session and could include taking an individual group. The volunteer will only be required to stay on the pitch for the duration of the session unless requested specifically to stay by a lead coach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person and we have seen many of our young leaders go on to take coaching qualifications and also gain further experience outside the club.

Finally we are also looking to encourage young leaders to umpire at Junior League matches on Sundays. The club will pay £15 for the session. If you are interested contact either me or Ellie Skippings.
