Thirsk made the long trip to Wakefield on a very blustery Saturday morning.

They started the game very brightly immediately cutting Slazenger's defence open with Leraes pace but narrowly failed to convert the chances. A scramble in the D led to Connie Gill scoring her 1st goal for Thirsk Ladies. Which followed by a 2nd , Which came from a well worked short corner finished on the far post by Connie. Thirsk pressed again but Wakefield managed to score against the run of play. But the ladies pushed again and scored a 3rd goal before through Lerae before half time.
The 2nd half got under way and Thirsk pressed well and got a 4th goal from another short corner finished on the post by Fern Watson. The ladies were well on top and were creating a lot of chances but Wakefield were defending well from efforts by Millie, Lynn and Fern. Lynn eventually scored a 5th goal and Lerae scored a 6th near the end to round off a convincing display.
