2-0 win today for the men's seconds to secure their league status. Goals from Andy Carney and Sean Oldham (from a combined distance of 2 foot!) helped Thirsk see out ultimately what was a comfortable victory. Jake Bowers had another outstanding game, showing superb composure within the D to create numerous chances. Leeds were repelled time and time again by an unusually resolved defence that was determined not to suffer the usual nerves that accompany a second team victory from a leading position.
