This time hosting Harrogate 6th team.

Thirsk started the game positively, by immediately driving up the right and almost catching the opposition off-guard. For the first 25 minutes, Thirsk dominated the game in terms of possession and chances, scoring 4 with the keeper making a series of fine saves - Jeremy Barker and Owen Reed with their firsts of the season and 1 each for Will Norman and Sam Kelly, the latter with a first time strike as the ball was cleared to him at the edge of the D. From central midfield, Sam and Patrick Hunt kept finding Thirsk players in space wide, who were in turn able to create chances in the D, in particular by pulling passes back from the right baseline to a waiting striker on the spot. As Harrogate had to defend deeper, the Thirsk defence was rarely troubled, but Sam Ross Russell had to make 1 good save just before half time.
Harrogate reorganised at half time and Thirsk found it harder to create more chances, but Sam was able to keep Thirsk on track by casually lifting a loose ball over the prone keeper to re-establish the momentum and Will also scored a second, before a wild air shot with an open goal begging caused him to throw his stick away for an automatic yellow card. At the death, Harrogate scored a consolation from a short corner, an area where Thirsk failed to take multiple chances.
Final score 6-1
