The team today were Andy in goal Mike, Michael, Michael and Sean in defence. Matty, Liam, Owen and Callum in midfield. Jonathan and Alex in attack. Thirsk started well putting pressure on the Acomb goal; and the ball came in from Callum on the right, Alex got the ball and put it past the keeper. The young players in the team (Callum , Matty and Arthur) all played well and had big parts to play in the game. Acomb got a goal back but as the game went on neither team had more possession than the other. 1-1 at half time. Thirsk went on the attack as the second half started, Liam passed to Owen who passed it to Matty on the back line, he then passed it to Jonathan who struck the ball past the keeper. Acomb then scored two more goals. With only 5 minutes to go, Arthur had the ball and hit it into the D where it hit a defending player's foot. From Jonathan's injection Liam smashed the ball past the keeper. The score 3-3 at the final whistle. Thanks to Andy Young for umpiring.
