Good luck to Ali Broadwith who learnt his hockey at Thirsk HC as a junior (aged 6-14), in our Development team and with our Mens 1s. He is on his way to a very hot Netherlands to play in the Rabobank 8 Nations tournament for England U16 boys!

Ali’s England season has involved several England training camps and international series against both Ireland and Scotland. He’s played the England senior women, been selected for the 6 Nations in Kent playing Germany, Scotland, Ireland and Austria and two weeks ago was in Belgium playing Belgium and Germany.

The Rabobank 8 Nations starts on Sunday 13th July for 7 days. It’s the climax of the squads’ season with the 18 players selected facing The Netherlands, Germany and Ireland in their group followed by two placing matches. Spain, Poland, Scotland and Belgium make up the other group.
