A winning first half does enough to win the game.

Thirsk 2 kept their winning streak going with another win over Ben Rhydding.
A very good first half from Thirsk playing some very good hockey moving the ball around really well. A first goal from Andrew Carney gave us some added confidence and then 2 more followed in the first half from Jake Bowers and Ben Collinson.
This gave us a 3-0 lead at half time.
Ben Rhydding came out much stronger and more organised making the second half a completely different game. Thirsk struggled and conceded 2 goals early on in the second half to make it a close game. Ben Rhydding were closing in on a third goal before Thirsk hit back with a much needed 4th goal with a quick break from Jake Bowers who again was tracking down well and counter attacking quickly. A late goal from Ben Rhydding made the last 2 minutes very tense and with Ben Rhydding getting a penalty corner with the last play of the game, made it even more interesting. Some good pressure from the defence meant Ben Rhydding missed the corner and another win for the Thirsk and Malton 2nd team. A good 3-4 win!
