A visit to Leeds Adel provided a high scoring game.

Top of the Yorkshire Premier division, Thirsk Ladies 1s traveled away to face 3rd in the league, Leeds Adel 2s. There was a lot on the line as both teams are in contention for league promotion. Bea Bell was the first name on the score sheet when she slipped a goal past the oppositions keeper within the first five minutes. Adel were quick to retaliate and evened the score from a slick short corner routine. Despite some strong linking play from forward duo Bea and Olivia Smerdon, Adel managed to beg yet another goal.
Two minutes before the half time whistle was due to sound Thirsk equalised when skipper Hannah Rogers slotted one past the Adel keeper making the score 2-2 at half time. The majority of the outfield play was dominated by Thirsk in the second half with Adel only capitalising yet again from their well rehearsed short corner routines. Georgie Turner saved an impressive lifted ball on Thirsk's back line only to be unluckily beaten by Adel's third strike at goal.
With the score at 3-3 and both teams still giving it there all, Adel were awarded a penalty flick. Keeper Val Grainger saved the first attempt, however was made to retake it. Subsequently a disagreement on the pitch resulted in Thirsk having to play the remainder of the match with only 10 players. Undeterred Thirsk dug deep with fifteen minutes to go and really upped the ante. Coming from behind twice Thirsk scored the final goal of the game with just two minutes remaining. Final score of the match was a five all draw. Special mention is deserved for Bea Bell who scored yet another hat trick, and to goalie Val Granger who made several vital saves throughout the game. Joint player was awarded to Grace Walker and Millie Simenacz.
