Thirsk Ladies 2nds hosted a home game this Saturday to old rivals Barnsley 1s. The sun was shining for a change when the starting whistle sounded. Thirsk came out strong,
central midfield duo Grace Walker and Amelia Borchard battled aimlessly to feed the ball upfront for the forwards to work their magic. Superstar Bea Bell bagged two goals during the game, the second ending from a beautiful strike from top D beating the keeper with ease. Annabel Morland fought hard as CF earning herself a goal, much to the keeper annoyance who subsequently floored her. Halves Summer Marshall and Georgie Turner ran the line tirelessly mopping up stray balls up from the oppositions forwards that tried to sneak through. Oona Webster-Jones put in a great performance in defence as a relative new comer to the team. All in all Thirsk put on an awesome show to win the match 5-0. Goal scorers were Bea Bell x2 Summer Marshall x1 Bev Perry & Annabel Morland. Player of the match was awarded to Georgie Turner.
