Thirsk travelled to third-placed Leeds with only 12 players available, knowing that they needed a result to maintain their position in the league. The game started well for Thirsk, without really challenging the goal. As usual Jake Bowers' pace was a constant threat at the front, but Leeds were content to soak up pressure and try to hit Thirsk on the break. As the game developed, Leeds were able to increase their possession higher up the pitch and scored 2 goals in quick succession. Having pinpointed the tactical issue, Thirsk adjusted its formation at half time, immediately taking firm control of the second half, with Phil Bell powering home a loose ball at a short corner. The equaliser took a long time coming, but with Thirsk piling men forward, the ball fell to Matty Raynor who finished with a clinical flick into the top corner.
Excellent effort from the whole team with Arthur Webster-Jones making important contribuitions in central defence and Will Mitchell in goal. Final score 2-2. Man of the match Phil Bell.
