Determined to avoid complacency against a 10 man opposition, bottom in the league, Thirsk dominated early possession but again failed to use the width effectively in attack to create many clear cut scoring opportunities. Thirsk opened the scoring through Joseph Shannon, and George Hunt converted a stroke to give Thirsk a deserved half-time lead. The second half was not a significant improvement, but as Slazengers tired, Callum Crisp showed nice skill to lift the ball over a prone keeper, Arthur Webster-Jones finished cleanly at the far post and Joseph completed his hat-trick. Strong play from Matty Raynor in front of defence all game but Thirsk have bigger challenges to overcome in the coming weeks if they want to retain 2nd position in the league. Man of the match: Joseph.
