Thirsk started the game fast, Joseph Shannon scoring 2 goals in the first 3 minutes, and the team dominating territory, possession and chances throughout the first half with Liam Shannon adding a brace, plus a goal for each of George Hunt and Jake Bowers. Thirsk re-started with a make-shift defence due to injury, and Huddersfield scored from 2 short corners in rapid succession. Thirsk struggled to rediscover their first half rhythm but Joseph completed his hat-trick and Patrick Hunt added another before a final consolation for the opposition. Great work all game from Tom Westgate at left back and George in midfield, but Joseph was man of the match for his third hat-trick of the season. Final score 8-3 win; 1 point required in the last match for promotion.
